Liverpool's squad is filled with players that needed a lot of transfer funds.

Chelsea's squad is even more coupled with money for the player's huge salaries.

Man Utd's squad is no different with big buys in Tevez, Anderson, Nani, Berbatov and huge salary pay packages.

Arsenal squad is filled with buys comparatively to the above teams, is considered petty cash to them.

City squad is going to be changed when transfer window re-opens.

The common thing is all have foreign ownership except Arsenal. In terms of consistency, Arsenal is most shrewd. But if want to talk about winning championships, Arsenal will need to allow themselves to be taken over by a foreign group. Only with huge injection of funds, will they be able to top the league every season because their best players will not leave due to low pay package.

It's just a matter of time.

Like in most aspects of life, money is very important, but it is not the only factor. There are many other factors that make up a successful football team.
The main danger for Man City that I see is that the chemistry between the owners, board, coaching team and players may not be there. And the possibility that the owners may sell out after a short time, leaving the club with high wages and possibly debt from unpaid transfer fees.
These are new, exciting but also risky times.

The difference between the Top 4 and the rest of the league is TV revenue which is why the Top 4 keep getting richer and able to buy better players, retain players and scoop players from other teams making them weaker.
