that time i go shanghai holiday, went to 1 bookshop. should be call bookshop building. building is 6 or 7 storey high. 1 single bookshop tenant/owner selling books/cds etc. sibei impressed. whole 6 -7 levels of books! and a lot of ppl browsing/buying books. i bought plenty of cds at rmb10 each

bro, one question, did your pkg ever kenna checked or opened up by customs? Of course I am not doubting you buy prawn or what - but would just want to know if customs got open for inspection or not.

there are books that i would want to buy online (not prawn but eg: books by Francis Seow)

If you order anything from Amazon, they'll provide a list of what's in the box to the the courier company to facilitate customs clearance. So they don't need to open the box

I doubt overworked customs people even know who Francis Seow is, they are more interested in collecting gst Just imagine the thousands & thousands of packages coming into Spore everyday.


Years ago when DVD prices were still high, I would sometimes order DVDs from a company in the US. Sometimes on the Spore side they would intercept my order. I would then have to go down to the offices of the media censor group?? where they'd opened the package in front of me. Where they told me that technically all videos made after 1968 have to be censored if brought into Spore. They waived this requirement as they could see that the tittles I'd ordered were just normal DVDs What's interesting is that even the posters of movies being shown at cinemas have to be cleared
