TAIPEI -- Over 100 people aboard a flight of Japanese budget carrier Peach Aviation were delayed Thursday following a bomb threat, according to the airline.

Flight MM922, bound for Okinawa, finally took off in the early afternoon from the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, more than two hours later than its scheduled departure, after aviation police conducted a search of passengers and luggage and found no explosives on board.

The carrier's ground staff received the bomb threat via a telephone call and immediately reported it to airport authorities.

The bureau said it was investigating who made the call.
