unfortunately and fortunately depending on how one looks at the opportunity, the san andreas faultline can only generate slightly beyond 7 on the seismic scale, but not 8 or higher. this is because of 2 plates rubbing laterally against each other and not a subduction collision of plates. very good properties that survive multiple quakes over a long history will still be expensive and unaffordable but there may be above average ones to grab, especially with tiong owners who are likely to panic, liquidate (no pun intended) all holdings and run like scared chickens.
