Beware pickpockets at opening

<!-- story content : start --> THE police expect opportunistic criminals to be on the prowl at the grand opening of Universal Studios Singapore on March 18, and have warned visitors to be vigilant against pickpockets. Visitors are also advised to be considerate and refrain from actions that may compromise the safety of others. For instance, they should queue up patiently for rides in an orderly manner. Families with children should also supervise their kids at all times to prevent them from wandering off and getting lost.

The police also gave the following crime prevention tips:

* When walking in crowded places, be wary of anyone bumping into you and check your valuables immediately if that happens.
* Do not attract the attention of would-be thieves by exposing cash, valuables or jewellery in public areas.
* Ensure that your belongings are properly secured and within view when walking;
* Never leave your valuables unattended.

Police officers will be deployed on the theme park ground on Sentosa , and members of the public can approach them for help, or dial 999 if they need police assistance or spot any suspicious-looking persons and items.

actually this is damn ridiculous of the SPF, i read the forum this morning and juz shook my head ...

knn, s'pore is so damn crowded everywhere - malls, buses, trains - pickpockets can strike anywhere and they do ! why would these pickpockets want to PAY to enter theme park and from there, pick others pockets ? wouldnt it be easier & cheaper to set up their 'business' at bugis ?

stupid ST ... this article is juz to remind all readers that universal studios theme park is opening soon, and if u havent got tickets yet, its time to do so ... Ho Jinx of temasek & her cronies need to fatten their wallets today !

My pocket has already been picked by the gov't. Little left to interest the foreign talent :(

Was about to say that!, what is left, is barely enough to make it past the month....and I have also dontaed my money ( blood sweat & tears) to Central Provident Fund...and I am one of those who received my statement every 6 mths, not those who gets theirs every month...

or I go on-line to take a peek...can see, can not touch...:p

He talking about the Universal Studio Theme Park which is opening on 18 March, not the casino.

i also doubt got free entry for FT for the theme park.

..and I am one of those who received my statement every 6 mths, not those who gets theirs every month...

Well DBS sends me a bill asking for monthly payment for investing my CPF. They still get to charge me monthly even though I still have the same lost making investments, originally invested years ago, when the CPF investment scam first started . :(

Can of course withdraw from the CPF investment scam but whats the point

If I did that, Madam Ho would her ugly paws on my money So damn if I don't & damn if I do
