The free hotel and stayover allowance more than enough to cover, unless you want to go on a private shopping spree, then that's at your own expense. Tokyo is the most expensive. I usually hide inside my Narita hotel room and have a hot bath and good rest. Trains to Tokyo city cost something like taxis from Changi Airport to Raffles Place. Taxis cost something like an air ticket from Singapore to KL. I like the noodle shop at Narita Eki though. Transport was free provided by hotel. From Narita station if you want to venture into Tokyo city, then take the train and pay your own fare just like everybody else.

I'm sure JAL can accommodate that unless they changed their system. I used to fly JAL to Narita then transit to San Francisco. The first day stayover at a Narita hotel was only US$25 extra arranged by JAL. If extended more days, then pay the standard hotel rate, and what hell, you can choose your hotel since you're paying full rate. Of course that time, I made full use of the first day stayover offer and then went to stay in my GF's home. The Narita area isn't bad actually. Very good and inexpensive Japanese food around the Narita Eki (station). Relaxing environment good for strolling around. Trains to Tokyo is within 30 minutes.
To be fair, I know Ram has openly disagreed with him on his relentless, long-enduring blasts on SDP/F4. How much effort is another matter. The thing is how much the chap himself is willing to take advice in the first place. The answer is evident in the way that he can stubbornly talk about SDP IB, individual members of the F4 gang including the "snake" when they have already very long been dead and buried and no longer visit for like at least 3 years ago. Even Joseph Ong gave up on WP and he still hasn't. This chap has a psychological, compulsive, obsessive problem and this would be unfairly on Ram's account.

I don't think I qualify for that award. Admittedly in recent days this was the only thing I got involved in, to spit at NSP, that hardly accounts for "best perspective". It is true that I probably qualify if it was about listing the most number of loopholes, misnomers, selectivities, favouritisms, oxymorons, paradoxes, fork-tongued talks, double standards, self-contradictions and intellectual dishonesty that the village idiot had attempted to conceal his sour-grapeness. But everyone could see that, what I did was only to list and organise that.
Ramseth started the whole thing by MSMing the queen about Bob's feelings and the whole thing erupted. Obviously he has to do something to stop it. But nothing substantial was done. He was happily posting while Bob was destroying the political folder. Does not seem remorseful.
On the other hand, one day I got a PM from GMS who convinced Bob Sim to remove E-Jay's photo from his avatar and requested that I stop throwing Bob's rubbish in the Bin when I was moderating. For all the nonsense that Bob did to wreck this forum anyone in his right mind would have distanced themselves from him. And Ramseth regards him his personal friend. SO we all suffer while they break bread. I must be really stupid to buy that.

Bob was antagonized and stalked by a group of clones hell bent of egging him on. I believe certain nicks associated with TR also were involved. That was what destroyed the political folder and sam leong nearly lost this forum. To be fair, Ramseth was not involved. That however does not mean he is to be exonerated.
Ramseth instigated Bob to pry into the private lives of other forummers and that set off a chain of squabbles which led to all the mess we've seen. For example, there was a big breasted woman who knew both of them as well as several other forummers in real life, and she became the source of much conflict for some mysterious reason. We all thought it was just male libido at work. It culminated in someone going to Bob's house to bash him.
There was also a couple of times in the old forum that private MSN messages between Ram and Bob and some other personalities were posted for all and sundry to gawk at. It was all downhill from then on. It was also obvious Bob was being used by Ram and that Ram was providing the oxygen behind many of the silly fights.
Now that Perspective and Scroobal have talked about these issues, I remember in the old forum there were many clones putting on female nicks and obviously cross-dressing.

There is a lot that Ramseth can contribute and be well regarded. His travels, the in and outs of supporting candidates and potential candidates thru the maze, his language skills, his insights about various races and cultures, emigration, his Police experience etc. But he needs to stop using people and avoid leaving people in slipper slopes.

Nobody is perfect, you and me included. My point is that the debt of Bob Sim is on Bob Sim. There are other causes but why any of the causes should be at the central theme.
Ram probably regards me as a good friend, doesn't mean I have to agree with his actions or his praises. I was peeved by one particular incident. But my point is still the above - why is he central. And at the least, he doesn't attack people, even outside the forum.
Sorry I don't trust the VI because behind the scenes of this forum a lot are done to play good guy, gain popularity from those deemed to have use for him. Many of these are even discovered to be falsely claimed credits later where the chap had no hand in.

You are who you associate with. I guess some of us are lucky despite being imperfect. You can be excused for blood ties but the rest is very much your choice. When the political folder was going under you did nothing and kept quiet. You knew them personally. if you can't influence your close friends and allies, pointless going into politics to help mankind. When your wife and GMS personal life got dragged in, I could have said nothing as it was no skin off my back. I thought it was low blow and insidious and stepped in boots and all. My nic became m&d in so many forums because of it. I have walked away from business deals that were tainted but within the law. I had a choice. Surprising I found that many had similar principles. These are very principles that made me take on the PAP despite being part of the establishment. I realised that the establishment does not belong to the old man or the PAP. I have been drip feeding this forum so much so that I have papers on my table with my very content baying for blood. Welcome to life and the real world.

To be fair I think Perspective never had much connected with Bob anyway. It was GMS who regarded Bob as personal fren, associated with him, Ram, Locke, etc, in the offline world, where they had group outings, breakfast timsums and so on. GMS allowed Ramseth to proclaim himself as his PR manager, at a time when GMS was already head of NSP. If I was an NSP member I would be furious.
I understand from your post that GMS did something to stop the bloodshed. What I can't fathom is why it appeared he was more worried about giving Bob a fair voice rather than advising him to just keep quiet and let those bunch clones attacking him reap their own reward.
You have posted about how rampant banning was conducted in the old SBF. GMS and Ram did nothing there too despite obviously knowing many of the personalities up close & personal in real life. I think they share the blame equally. Two episodes, back to back, of a group of nicks trying to take down the forum, and these two chaps did nothing to stop.
I don't think I'm being unfair in my assessment, am I?
