Knowing Amos as he is, mad as a hatter and a ranting teenage loony, one should not be offended at all unless one intends to take him seriously. He is just being politically incorrect and religion is fair game to him. Why even feel offended in the first place? He will have to grow up one day and perhaps reform and repent at his own pace.
