Red line issit? US Congress people flying over to visit Taiwan, that was a 'red line', even threatened to shoot down the planes carrying them. In the end nothing happened. 
Most of this gungho political posturing is for the low IQ Tiongs living behind the Great Firewall, whose warped worldview has been created by gaslighting since young. If you are not a Tiong, not behind the Great Firewall and you believe such bullshit, then your IQ is below room temperature.
Of course, if you are tasked with a mission, if you have been compromised or bribed/blackmailed like George Yeo and Kishore, that's understandable.
