The resident thought it was a doll lying on the ground when she looked out of the kitchen window of her flat on Wednesday.
The “doll” turned out to be a woman lying motionless on the ground between Blocks 533 and 535 at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5, the resident who declined to be named later found out.
Like her, most residents TNP spoke to said they had not heard any unusual sounds. One resident said she believed the woman was a maid.
A police spokesman said the woman, 26, was found motionless at noon and was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital by paramedics. She died there.
