It is the time of the year again!

hungry_ghost_festival_burning_hell_notes_incense_paper.jpg

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is reminding the public to exercise greater caution when making religious offerings during the "Qing Ming" festival.

This is given that religious activities like the burning of incense paper and lighting candles/joss sticks are expected to increase during the festival.

SCDF said the burning of incense paper should be done in incense burners.

The burners or containers should be placed on sturdy ground and at a safe distance away from combustible materials and locations.

SCDF said fire safety is a collective responsibility.

They should just ban this stupid moronic practice of superstition. Serve no purpose except polluting the air we breath.

nah beh...i buy you one LionAir ticket, you go Indon & tell those fucking tree loggers.

Tree loggers doing it not for superstition, they are doing it for forest clearing the easy way out without environmental consideration. Same with the farmers.

Those responsible for the burning must also be responsible for the cleaning up

Oh wait! Responsible?? Many Sinkies don't know what's the meaning of this.

Cry out against employing foreign worker, but when there's no one to clean up their mess, they complain again

Sinkies!

Burn papers?

What for? does it work? If it doesn't why still do it?

ah mah ah gong doing it I understand, but with science and technology age, still got young people doing it?

One strong EMP pulse can zap any ghostly apparitions till kingdom come.

You want to complain about Haze from Indonesia, why not start from home first?
