I support Indonesia Batam custom officer. Officer do right thing. And very politely escort them to departure hall.

I often visit Batam & JB. It is common to see Spore uncles & aunties making day trips there. With the strong $SIN dollar everything there is cheaper e.g. food, haircuts, massages, shopping,.... For example a 1 hour body massage is only $100,000 rupiah. That is about $11. The cost of a haircut at a barber is about $2 - $3

When I am there I always go to A&W for root beer.

I thought that all the casios were closed. Is it nearby the Pacific Hotel hotel?

At night I usually walk around the Nagoya Hill Mall. There are some Satay stalls near the smaller side entrance of Nagoya Hill.

I don't remember seeing a Chinese temple. I'll ask around the next time I'm there
