Basics of Card Skimming

This is how I protect myself against ATM skimming with overseas atms where such activities are RAMPANT. (Monthly basis).
I always have 2 accounts when opening overseas bank accounts. 1 High interest Internet access only account. And another account that provides ATM card. Link both accounts.
Whenever I want to withdraw cash, I would use the app to transfer the money over thus leaving always leaving a couple of dollars on the transactional account. Internet access accounts usually are high interest. I don't see the need to do this in Singapore as yet. hope that helps.

yup those that worry about getting their atm cards skimmed just have 2 accounts one that doesn't have any atm card registered to it.

yeah, dat gives me an idea, I'll carry credit card with the lowest limit or no limit at all.

here's how to trick the skimmer. Use a credit card that is about to be terminated..after withdrawal, terminated it ASAP !
