針對選舉款四千萬元疑雲，高雄市長韓國瑜昨天親上火線向各界說明，並公布競選經費款項，總收入約一億二千九百萬元，其中企業捐款僅百分之九，政黨捐助才百分之零點一，推估僅約十二萬餘元。國民黨回應，因黨仍借款支付黨工薪水，無多餘資金提供競選費用。
對於國民黨僅捐助十二萬餘元給韓國瑜，不僅令支持者憤怒，也有韓粉感嘆，原來韓國瑜競選期間受這麼大委屈，難怪選後對黨內大老仍有怒氣。
對此，國民黨副發言人黃心華回應，國民黨目前借款支付黨部工作人員薪水，無多餘資金可以提供候選人競選費用。
此外，針對韓國瑜的競選經費風波，黃心華重申，黨主席吳敦義當時透過過去擔任高雄市長所建立的好友與企業家關係，替韓國瑜募款，吳敦義並未經手任何相關的募款經費。
黨內人士表示，在黨產遭凍結情況下，黨中央財務狀況捉襟見肘，吳敦義上任後四處張羅借錢籌款，壓力十分繁重，選舉期間各縣市候選人的政黨捐助不足，也請各界體諒。
