What is also shocking is MOE considers the AWARE programme appropriate. See Ms Sum Chee Wah, Director Education Program, MOE letter in the ST Forum page on 29April. No wonder, we read so often in the newspapers of young sexually active girls.

why? there's nothing wrong to me. do you think nowadays children are naive and ignorance? teaching of this topic in the classroom is much much better than let them find out in the webs or from friends which have more distortion. Adding teacher's opinion and value is important. MOE is doing a good job. don't be a hypocrite like some people who talk holy and act sinfully.

the kids are more internet savvy,,,, probably know more interesting sites than most holier than thou adults, who refuse to believe their kids are surfing porn or gambling on online casinos or having sex with their teachers/maids when they are out....

if 1 lesson will turn your child gay, imagine how many hours your kids serve on porn sites, chatrooms,,,,

look at the condom/sex shops popping up in the city, directly opposite St Andrew's, oppo taka, and Bugis areas, chinatown,,,,

The asnwers are yes, yes and yes.

The thrust of the CSE is to teach girls to say "No" and to protect themselves. I am glad it touches upon issues of anal sex, sex toys and homosexuals in the classroom.

These Thiolibans might as well ban the internet. If we do not tell youngsters these they can EASILY google these terms on the net and god-knows what they will learn then.
