Avast is OK. I have never use it before but based on reviews and users feedback, AVG virus and malware detection is better.

There are many other good ones : Malwarebytes

and this one is a classic : SpyBot Search & Destroy

Thanks for the info. I am sticking with Avast. but it's good to know about different antivirus softwares, in case need to change it. I haven't performed a full system scan of my PC for years, think no need to, it should be alright lah.

It's good to have an anti virus software protecting your pc in real time and also having Malwarebytes or SpyBot S & D.

Malwarebytes was able to detect malware that AVG couldn't.
