An Australian shellfish diver is recovering in hospital in Perth after being attacked by a shark for the second time in 10 years.
Greg Pickering was diving for abalone off remote Cape Arid, about 180km east of Esperance on the south coast of Western Australia, when he was attacked by a great white shark.
He was flown to Perth for emergency surgery and is said to be in a serious but stable condition, suffering from head, back and shoulder injuries
