Two months ago, the class of 2014 left the gates of their beloved alma maters. Fortunately for them, there are some great-paying jobs they can pursue.
With help from Payscale, the creator of the world’s largest database of individual compensation profiles, containing more than 40 million today, Business Insider found 15 of the highest-paying jobs for young professionals with a bachelor’s degree.
The numbers are based on median pay, which includes base annual salary or hourly wage, bonuses, profit sharing, tips, commissions, and other forms of cash earnings, for workers with two years of experience or less, who shared salary data on the Payscale site.
The data shows that electrical engineer is the the best-paying profession for new graduates. This job leads the pack with a median pay of $US61,400 for those just out of school.

A plumber makes more money than all of them added together.

Pay might b high..but they forgot to mention how many unemployed engineers there r...

How come our graduates are not paid as much? After 30 years working, maybe can match aussie fresh graduate pay.

Looking back on history, you can see that bankers built house of cards and castles in the air, while engineers built solid castles and HDB flats on marine clay without collapsing.

But only under the PAP govt will you find bankers being paid more than engineers, and engineers unemployed while good for nothing bankers sitting on cushy jobs in high rise glass and steel towers built by engineers.

We need to see the comparative salaries after 5 or 10 years of work. In my day engineers in Singapore started out higher than others but in the end they were overtaken by mediocre accountants bankers and lawyers.

That's why many Ozzie bankers get out of the country.

And do you know where they head to and who they replace? *hee*hee*

And does this explain why the good-for-nothing FAP ministers die die want to jep up bankers' pay and peg theirs to them?

A sparkie earn even more because he has to certify his work. And use less strength. Ok, gett8ng fried by power is a danger.

that should be the case.

it takes many years to train a competent plumber

any monkey can be a banker and sell financial products- 3 month training max

Oh like Singapore then. Except Singaporeans cannot even make it to teller and operator here.

In Sillypore, employers treat most of the engineers like shit even though they are the ones who get their hands dirty.
Hence many students no longer wish to take up engineering courses in university.

The working culture in Sillypore only value those salesman and saleswoman.
They are the ones who will earn more and get to climb the corporate ladder much faster than engineers.

Not sure if Germany, Japan and USA treat their engineers much better as compared to other countries.

In Germany, Japan and USA engineers are highly respected and well paid. In Singapore , if engineers do not go up to Management you are sunk. That's why we are unable to show technological creativity like Korea, Japan, US. The main reason is because we had inexperienced government with a lot of blind spots. It's amazing they looked up so much to Israel but learned nothing.
