Tell the voters, sinkapore is a small island, it has no natural resources, and now it is filled with HDB concrete buildings , and more empty land is catered for private housings. As you can see, at the rate we are moving , the island will becum very crowded . The whole island will be congested with buildings and cars in near future ! What will happen in future nobody will know ! You cannot keep hurting the people’s pocket to show the world sinkapore is Ok ! like COE, ERP….they are not solutions !
Also, please bear in mind, every grain of rice is also imported !
You see, the island got nothing but many many people, and the one more thing you and I are not familiar with --------the country reserves !
Oppo parties have no idea or any detailed information about this country reserves becos we are not the govt , we are unable to tell you anything about it !
Oppo parties only suggest to you voters, you are the ones who give mandate, so we suggest that our country reserves be audited once every five years for the good of the country as well as you the voters !
It may take longer time to get the statement of accounts but we can get as many qualified people to help out the process !
Like your income tax assessment, you voters have to file reports once every year, so is it good to know the country reserves status once every five years ?
For many years, we do not have this practice , so we are proposing this system to you !
Country reserves and economy are backbones of the country , this is only what we have, if we know better about them, we can learn what future lies ahead of us !
Alternatively , oppo parties suggest that the country reserves be audited before the presidential election if not the GE !
Since Sinkapore is said to enjoy good growth, good economy, 12 million visitors, strong govt revenue , do you voters think it is no good to learn more about our country savings ?
We oppo parties are not covetous or grabby about the reserves ! We are also not saying the reserves is not in good hands ! Our intention is sincere and it is our responsibility to keep you abreast what we think is good for the country and you the voters ! If you voters decide the right time to change Govt, it is easier for the new govt to assume position. You voters have to decide what you want for the country ! We oppo parties respect your votes !
