Cantonese standards have dropped in HK. I can barely understand the speech of young Hong Kongers today - dropped initial 'ng-", conflating final '-n' with '-ng', pronouncing initial 'n-' as 'l-' and peppered with lots of English words. A far cry from the well-articulated Cantonese in the old black and white Canto movies and early TVB serials. The mainlanders in HK now don't even bother with Canto, they just speak Mandarin.
The standard-bearer for Cantonese is still Guangzhou. Food there is better too.
