"...Similarly, it (PAP government) can choose to introduce political changes which will reduce the barriers of entry for the opposition, ahead of any crisis situation...There is a window of opportunity now for change to take place and work its way through the political system.

Change creates some disequilibrium - which is best absorbed in good times, and when the majority of the electorate are tempered folk, who understand Singapore's unique position, who desire change but value stability and do not want radical transformation.

Otherwise, whatever changes are put in place risk being seen as too little, too late, by an impatient younger electorate."

PS. Chua Mui Hoong's hair stylist should be avoided at all costs going by her latest pic:D

Aiyah .... all of you can debate until the cows go and rest at the barn.

One element is undeniable : Her "Ci Sun Bark Jee" will determine her success in relations to her pursuits !! :D:D:D

One new report does not mean much change. Maybe the editor did some much needed editing on her writing?

Well ST journalists seem to be looking at the political tea leaves of late, especially after recent particular remarks coming from the 'holy trinity':p

One camp suggests larger GRCs and more flexibility with regards NMPs and NCMPs, another camp hopes more levelling of the political playing field which I personally doubt.

Are more political changes coming our way?

Our SDP friends would still not trust her of the ST as a whole in any case.

CMH, the dog who knows that once her master die, she will be strayed dog, unwanted. Her future redundancy has already put fear in her now, so there is dire need for her to lick new boot: the opposition party, who are likely to be the next ruling party very soon.

maybe this is the new direction given by the miw; a pr blitz following the "liberalisation" of the people's right to demonstrate at hong lim park.
