A commuter had shot video footage of the train pulling out of Kembangan MRT station and posted it on the video-sharing website. AN MRT train parked in a depot was hit with garish graffiti in what amounted to a serious security breach in a restricted area here. The vandal apparently sneaked into the sprawling depot at Changi, despite an array of barriers, including fences topped with barbed wire. Once inside, he spray-painted elaborate graffiti on one side of a train, across one carriage. The Straits Times understands that the vandal, a 33-year-old Swiss national, cut through the fence of the depot along Xilin Avenue, in what is believed to be the first such case of vandalism here.

Anyway, I admire this foreign talent with a spur in his hind with such artistic paintings. I wonder what will terrorist paint in future knowing that silver serpents are always sleeping on the job like those ministers snoring in parliament. Complacency must have a price to pay, and yet our ministers paid themselves millions of dollars for snoring.

What is Ah Seng doing???? what if Swiss National places remote explosive device on the carriage...tell them don't waste money with the video telling us to be ALERT...while they can even allow their train carriage to be painted???

If he is a local, he would feel the full force of a deterrent sence but since he is an angmo(swiss national) they will just give him a warning

Wait a minute. ths FT didn't make 'street art'. he was painting a 'tag'. in hip hop culture graffiti guys paint their tags in difficult places as a challenge for their rivals to top it. Beauty is not a judging factor in such tag wars.

The artist was arrested on possibility on breach of security and vandalism charges.

I sincerely admire his doing. It was like a fresh air in a monotonous life of most working class Singaporean.

I am pretty sure, it would spark off debates and some had even level his "crime" to that of vandalism done by infamous Michael Fay who was canned for the former misdemeanor.

Those sanitized Pro PAP fags would want this artist canned nevertheless... while those on the other side, however loud their voices, I believe would somehow allow "justice" to follow its course.

BTW, SMRT had removed the graffiti. ....

Well, the curtain is down so let us go back to our own cabin, our own cubicle, and mind our own business as "good" citizen of "Singapore"...

Would Singaporean one day be so phlegmatic that even if a robbery would to happen next to them, they would just reply, " Oh poor fella" then MMOB then walk off.....
