Drunk foreign worker sleeping "outside" MRT station with pants down
In many cases, SMRT has acted in rather a biased way, when it concerns especially Singaporeans.
There was a middle age Singaporean Chinese lady who was issued with a fine for having some sort of sweet in her mouth. The station control officer said “No eating in SMRT, you should know it’s the law” in a loud and arrogant manner. Took her particulars and issued her a ticket. I have seen a PRC woman eating Big Mac on a platform seat. The station control officer walked past her as if she did not exist.
An elderly Singapore Malay man, in his late 80′s, was carrying a small plastic bag with a food packet in it. The security officer guarding the concourse area arrogantly told him to take the food packet out of the plastic bag and even opened the food packet to check, saying in a loud way, “What if there is a bomb inside the food packet?”
They seemed to be tongue-tied when a man boarded the train with a samurai sword. They didn’t even have the balls to stop him.
Here, this Indian national exposed himself within the compound of the SMRT. They are quick to say it’s outside the SMRT station to shy away from responsibility. If it was a Singaporean who was sleeping like that, his entire bio data would be out on Sunday Times with reporters interviewing his family. This news would have flashed every 15 mins via the radio and TV.
Then those engaging in violent riots are given a mild warning – 400 rioted and only 20 odd charged. 50+ deported and the rest given a warning. The evidence is overwhelming with burnt and overturned police cars and SCDF vehicles including a fire engine. Police and SCDF officers were pelted with pavement slabs and broken bottles which resulted in injuries to officers.
There are people who were locked up under ISA without being given a chance to defend themselves. Till this day, they have preferred not to charge them in the court of law. The media portray them as communists, Marxists and terrorists.
