Why SIA couldn't waive fee

I REFER to Tuesday's Forum Online letter by Mr Terry Seah, "Customer service does not mean just being polite".
Mr Seah had purchased tickets at a promotional fare. Under the conditions of this particular fare type, any change done after the tickets are issued is subject to a fee. Customers are, therefore, advised to ensure that all information provided at the time of booking is accurate.
We were unable to locate the fax mentioned by Mr Seah, but we got in touch with him as soon as this matter was brought to our attention.
