SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has expressed his condolences to his Laotian counterpart, Thongsing Thammavong, following a fatal plane crash that killed five Lao senior officials.

The Lao military plane crashed in the Xieng Khouang province on Saturday.

Among those killed in the crash was the country's defence minister, Douangchay Phichit.

In a letter to Prime Minister Thongsing, Mr Lee said he was shocked to learn of the tragic plane crash.
He said it is unfortunate that a trip to celebrate a Lao People's Army anniversary ended up taking the lives of so many Lao leaders and officials.
"On behalf of the government and people of Singapore, I offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

"Please let us know if there is anything that Singapore can help you with. Our thoughts are with you and the people of Laos during this time of sorrow," said Mr Lee.

So untypical of a Sinkie like behavior. Are you saying he should be more indifferent?

Seemingly, there's a standard template for occasions such as these.
Sending condolences is not a breach of security - so it is okay.

He's relishing at the plights of others. Lol. Nearly every day got condolence letter to write to any part of the world. Try to show concern and increase his popularity globally, understand?
