What started as a celebration quickly devolved into a chaotic scene on Friday, as hundreds of shoppers rushed the doors of a new grocery store in northeast Calgary — until police stepped in to send people home.
Shoppers rushed the doors at the new Asian Food Centre in Saddle Ridge, trying to take advantage of a special offer — a free pressure cooker for the first 100 people to enter.

Karanjot Bal was in line waiting to enter the store when things started to get out of control.
"They all crowded the door and tried to pile themselves in, like pushing and shoving," Bal said. "No one was social distancing either, not even in the line to begin with."
Signs posted outside requested shoppers practice physical distancing, but Jasneet Bal said it just wasn't possible given the crowd's size.

"As soon as people started crowding in, we were like, 'Oh no, this is definitely not safe,'" Jasneet said.
"People were pushing up against you, there was a lot of elderly people here that were getting pushed over and nobody was helping them up and it got to the point where where it's like, OK, cops are definitely needed. We need to shut this place down."

I have never been to that part of Calgary.

The reason is obvious.

u sure it's not in india? so mamy cecas!!!

Looks like hail storms and Ah Nehs are hazards of living in Northeast Calgary, not a single Ang moh in sight ...

To those in uk, canada, asians means those from indian subcontinent.
To the US, it is chinese, koreans, Japanese philippinos. Indians are indians.

Indians don't like to describe themselves as Indian in N.A...they tell people they are Asian. But N.A. call them Indians anyway.

or Sand Niggers

Canada too is going down the drain.
Actually it isnt bad. They donr number that many. It is just that the poorer indians will live in Northeast Calgary. Along with the middle easterners and blacks.

Northeast is highest crime. Most problems. They even got illegal street racing! Even mother nature hit them with bad hail storm but not other parts of Calgary.

So avoid NE Calgary it is all good.

I have heard that the South East area also starting to have some Indians too.

Indians like the eastern part of cities. In Edmonton it was Southeast. MILLWOODS.

So stick to the western part.

Good thing is Canada doesnt have these sinkie laws all must mix together. And wide open space. Lots of space.

So indian can have their own space and turn it into shit it doesnr affect the other areas. Good what. Let them have their space they let me have my space.

Sinkies....sorry you have to take their shit in the name of racial harmony

I actually think it is better to let people have their space for better harmony. But sinkieland too small lah.

British called them Asians. Chinese are orientals, or chinks.
