I define, in the Sinkaporean context and only in that context, an artificial aristocrat to be someone who aspires to be a natural aristocrat by becoming a sicko-fan (sycophant, porlumpar) or crony.
The writer of the article (link: http://postimg.org/image/c84m0ss0j/ ) advocates increasing Sinkie population, as if the 5.7 million inhabitants currently being squeezed on this tiny city-state aren't causing enough socio-economic problems.
