For me, if LEEgime wants to see my regular mail, I can even tell them the password to my email account so they can take their time to read each and every single regular email.

For confidential mail, I encrypt them using an SSL certificate with 256-bit encryption keys, AES-Blowfish-Serpent hash algorithm. The certificate is NOT generated in the USA or "Five-Eyes" countries which means it is impossible for NSA, CIA or LEEgime to hack my emails.

Security has nothing to do with whether it's free or paid for. In fact, yahoo and hotmail are probably more secure than a small ISP hosting an email server which your own domain is pointing to.

All emails, whether encrypted or not can be traced to a sender Emails infrastructure do not exits in a vacuum. All that is required is a court order.

What is ironical is that an encrypted email is worse as the ISP is unable to verify if the content actually has what is alleged in the court order. Because they cannot read the content, they will hand it over rely on the law in good faith. It is a typical fishing expedition. If the email is in the clear and it alleges abuse by the govt, human rights issues, oppressive conduct etc, the foreign ISP lawyers will tell the applying party to fuck off.

You have got to trust me that the above two software do not rely on the traditional email infrastructure to deliver emails. You CANNOT be traced. I should know because I am one of the many volunteer developers for them. Oh, I almost forgot to mention: they are open source and free to download and use. Just remember to not add or remove modules in the software. Accept the defaults lest you will break your anonymity.

no such agency (nsa) has a humungous campus of giant buildings in fort meade, md where allegedly 20k employees and hq staff work in. there are over 18k parking spaces that can be seen from the air while a couple thousand are underground. underneath the massive main complex (black building) lies deep elevator shafts that lead to underground chambers and tunnels. in there somewhere lies the largest data center in the world, larger than the cloud data centers of amazon, google and apple combined. geographically diverse in case of attacks, disasters or destruction of the fort meade facility, there are several other "smaller" but newer facilities sharing the load and work of code breaking (cryptography) in fort gordon, ga, san antonio, tx, camp williams, ut, and others. of relevance is the utah data center, or cnci, where cyber cryptography and security are its specialization. please don't tempt them to break your encryption keys, because they will when challenged or the earliest opportunity of "fun" arises (their jobs are that mundane and boring). very hard to keep some of the world's best (busted but bought out, not convicted and collaborative) hackers and cryptologists sitting around with super computers playing heart of the swarm or call of duty. :p

It is good that you should not take any person's words on this forum or other forums at face value.

It is up to you to believe if I am one of the many developers of Tails and Liberté Linux. I won't lose my sleep over it.

The wisest thing to do before you download and use the above software is to download and pore over their source codes. Remember what I wrote in one of my earlier posts that these software are open source.

If you are familiar with Tor Project, https://www.torproject.org/ , Tails is mentioned on the lower portion of its main page. Both of them are collaborators.

Get someone who is an expert on Linux, preferably Debian and Gentoo, to go through the source codes to ensure they do NOT contain backdoors for PAP or LEEgime to hack. That way you can be assured that Tails and Liberté Linux are NOT supported by PAP or LEEgime.

You are right. The US government has forced many ISPs to reveal the online activities of many a suspected terrorist using The Patriot Act. It does not need subpoenas from the courts to proceed with their investigations.
