So far, a total of 21 navy soldiers at the base have tested positive for the virus and were diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia. It is reported that the test results of many naval soldiers have not yet been released, and the number of diagnoses is expected to rise further.
According to the report, the first confirmed soldier of the base can be traced back to April 7 after case investigation and tracking, which caused infections to multiple soldiers living in the same living area as the soldier, and most of the confirmed cases were asymptomatic infections. At present, the living area of confirmed cases in the naval base has been completely blocked, and the investigation of more cases has begun. So far, no confirmed cases have appeared on Indian naval vessels and ships.
