The price of Apple shares hit a new high of US$655 today. It will probably go up but it's anyone's guess as to how high or how soon
Fortunately I bought the shares cheap & watched the price double every 2 years

It's no secret that Apple has a large stash of cash squirelled away AND it's growing each profitable quarter. So that may explain why the share prices are going up As well as the opening of the China, Brazil,... market. Or rumours of the 7" iPad & Apple TV.

Now that Apple is paying a dividen more instituitional investors are investing in AAPL because these companies are looking for an income stream for their clients.

However if you do invest in APPL shares expect wide swings in it's price because it is one of the most expensive shares & a even a small percentage change in the price is high in $ terms. It has also become the favourite for analysts to manipulate with all the rumors I don't think Apple will do a stock split because they want to limit the shares to the big investor. This avoids the short term punters.

All the opinions you get here are just opinions. It is your hard earned money & only you can determine what to do with it.

For those who are investing in the US for dividens. For Sporeans the US withholds 30% because the US & Spore have no agreement on taxes :(

Statistically, AAPL has a 68% probability of hitting a high of $700 or a low of $633, by end Aug 2012.
