Specially created themed expensive-looking T-shirts are worn by our MPs and Ministers everytime they appear at one event or another. Are these special-occasion T-shirts really necessary? Especially we know that these cannot be worn again for any other functions. Why can't these MPs turn up in simple white T-shirts?

Such unnecessary expenses are better used for the cause itself, especially for causes/events for the poor and underpriviledged. Why can't invited guests and other simply turn up in their own colourful clothing?

Wonder if all the T-shirts are produced by one or two specified suppliers only?

And what do the MPs and Ministers do with the stacks and stacks of these t-shirts that they have in their wardrobe?

Confuseous, you are absolutely right. These minister are purely wasting the T-shirts. They will probably only use it once and then throw them away. They should either show up in a white T-shirt or have a specially designed T-shirt
for all ministers for such occasions. Then you can be sure that these T-shirts will be well used. Also a well designed T-shirt will improve the image of these ministers and reuse wastage. It will send a good signal to the citizens to reduce wastage. Am truly surprised why this was not brought up earlier by the ministers themselves being the million dollars minister that they are. They go around encouraging good habits while the don the worst ones. I must add that these T-shirt should be non-partisan but reflect the public office that they hold. Great point, buddy.

Seems that they couldn't get their priorities right. Certain things need to spend, don't spend......other things don't need to spend, spend like water........sigh.

When these Minsitars returned home after officating an event, they will hand over the used T shirts to their maids so that the latter can use it to wipe the dusty window frames of their spacious bungalows..

Actually its the other way around. These t-shirts are actually cheap ordered in bulk. They wear together with all the grassroots people who stay in HDB flats to give the impression that they are the same and equal status. It is the same logic which was used for their white and white with no tie to impress the gullible masses.

The Italian suits, expensive branded goods all come out when they head overseas for their family holidays.

No other country other than the communists tried the same tactic. It was copied from Lim Chin Siong who dressed frugally, slept on his desk, drank black coffee and bread and went everywhere in his bicycle and his support was devastating.

The PAP are hypocrites. You should see their houses and their assets. Till to day, their assets are not open to disclosure.

If deserving, no need to hide their assets. With their obscene salaries and other perks, they have problems accounting to the voters.
