Consumers could get their hands on High Definition 3D TV sets as early as August, said electronics giant Panasonic. But a set will cost about 30 per cent more on average than High Definition sets without 3D capabilities.

With a pair of special glasses, viewers can get the effect of images leaping out of the screen.

Each TV set will come with only one pair, however, with additional pairs costing about $250 each.

I wonder with all these 3D stuff, have anyone done any research on its effect on the eye and brain...i mean whenever i watched 3D movies my eyes tends to feel very strained..
