Previous PM couldn't speak english so he went to jakarta asking javanese in gomen to promote malay language and was ostracised.
Malay language is a sensitive issue to javanese. They are wary of malay nationalism.To them, malay lsnguage is bahasa indonesia.
Malays dialect are spoken in sumatra, kalimantan and sulawesi. Three biggest islands.
