i observe many ads on tv and newspapers these days in SG about not to rely on antibiotics.

India is the world leader in antibiotics misuse (google it). Indians with runny nose will go to their pharmacies and demand antibiotics. As a result, new antibiotic resistant bugs are surfacing in India.

Is this why the SG gahmen is spending money to inform people about this once unknown threat? Will we see superbugs spread here thanks to the act smart cecas?

If you don't let your immune system have enough 'practice' and 'training', eventually you'll be weakened enough to succumb to the simplest diseases and infections.

I'm surprised the ah nehs don't put more faith in ayurvedic medicine.

Antibiotics are only good for treating bacteria infections.. most colds and common flus are viral infections and will be handled by your body's immune system with enough rest and nutrition. So prescribing antibiotics for any small case of the sniffles is counterproductive
