SINGAPORE: A 33-year-old man was found dead on Wednesday (Jun 3) at Swissotel The Stamford, just days after an Australian woman died in a fall at the same hotel.

SCDF was requested for ambulance assistance at 1.10pm, and the man was pronounced dead at scene by paramedics.

Police also said they received a call for help at 1.10pm at 2, Stamford Road, and found a man lying motionless at the said location.

"Police are investigating the unnatural death," a spokesperson added.

As practice in the hotel industry, if a guest died, the hotel will have to rent out that particular room on that same day and cannot leave it vacant on that night. Don't know if they still follow that practice or not:o

Maybe the place is haunted:confused:

With so many suicides, there might be some unhappy spirit around who wants company. So they are luring the living to join them:eek:

If it's really haunted, they'll have to board it up or put up a sign indicating that it's occupied already.

Either they get the front desk to "push" out the room at super cheap rates, or get the duty manager for that night to stay there.

That's easy... just make up some bullshit about the hotel special promotion or anniversary celebration, and the lucky customer at the check-in desk gets to stay at a special discounted rate.

Swissôtel The Stamford (Chinese: 史丹福瑞士酒店), is a luxury hotel in Singapore managed by Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts. Designed by architect I.M. Pei, Swissôtel The Stamford, at a height of 226 metres (741 ft) is one of Southeast Asia's tallest hotels.[1] Located in the heart of Singapore, this hotel is part of the Raffles City complex comprising two hotels, the Raffles City convention centre, Raffles City shopping centre, and an office tower. Situated at 2 Stamford Road, the hotel sits above City Hall subway station. It is also one of the tallest hotels in Asia. It ranks 10th place on the list out of any other hotels in Asia.

The 5-star hotel has 1,261 rooms and suites, 16 restaurants and bars, Raffles City Convention Centre, and one of Asia's largest Spas.[2]

The hotel was designed by architect I.M. Pei as The Westin Stamford Singapore, along with its adjacent smaller sister hotel, The Westin Plaza. When completed by the South Korean firm SsangYong Group in 1986, The Westin Stamford was the world's tallest hotel building, rising to a height of 226 metres (741 ft).[3] It is alleged that the Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang, North Korea was intended as a Cold War response to the construction of this hotel.[4] On 1 January, 2002 the two Westins were sold to Swissôtel/Raffles Hotels and both hotels were renamed, The Westin Stamford becoming Swissôtel The Stamford and The Westin Plaza becoming Raffles The Plaza. When Raffles Hotels was acquired by Fairmont in 2006, the smaller hotel was again renamed, becoming Fairmont Singapore.

we should open a suicide clinic in singapore.
these people endanger others.

Excellent idea in order to attain genuine Swiss Standard of Living.

Those losers who can't afford to travel to Switzerland to commit suicide, as seen on the video below, are jumping off from the Swissotel tower endangering other people's lives.

PAP should open a suicide clinic in Singapore for Sinkie losers to die with dignity and improve the overall gene pool.
