Any person with any brain would have contacted the police and not put it on STOMP instead.

Two men were spotted brazenly emptying receipts from the bin of a United Overseas Bank (UOB) automated teller machine (ATM) into their backpacks last Saturday night.

Business-development manager Cedric Poh, 40, discreetly photographed the pair in action at a mall in the Chinatown area with his smartphone and sent the photo to citizen-journalism website Stomp yesterday.

When contacted, Mr Poh told my paper that the men looked to be in their late-30s to mid-40s, and appeared to speak a Chinese dialect.

After their backpacks were filled, the pair collected the rest of the ATM receipts in a plastic bag. Mr Poh said he saw one ATM's bin unlocked.

Some netizens on Stomp voiced concerns that the incident was not reported to the authorities, in the light of the recent DBS Bank/POSB ATM fraud case.

As of press time, UOB said it was unable to comment.

The least he could have done was to take a pic of their faces, but a cowardly Sinkie wouldn't dare risk a head-on confrontation with the shitskins/Tiongs. What if they broke his shiny smartphone?

Also, when you withdraw money from the ATM, do any one of the following:

1) No receipt
2a) Receipt, and take the receipt home with you. Store the receipt in a proper place.
2b) Receipt, and take the receipt home with you. Burn the receipt. Dispose the ashes.

You don't need to be taught about this. This is common sense.

Don't know what they are really after. Recycling? The amount of paper is so small.

Bank account numbers? You can't see much bcz they will be like this: DBS/POSB xxx-xxxxx-0 so what's the use?

The stomper has been wise in this instance. Who cares if the 2 low-life idiots use the slips to wipe their ass? This has nothing to do with the ATM theft fiasco. Sinkies are dumb... everything also report police.

I have seen this before and my thoughts are, the banks are themselves sub-contracting out the clearing of unwanted receipts.
