Woman found deceased at base of Bukit Batok HDB block on Monday night

SINGAPORE: A woman was discovered deceased at the base of an HDB block in Bukit Batok on Monday night (18 December).
There are suspicions that she might have either jumped or fallen from the building.
Upon police arrival, the area was cordoned off, and the body was covered with a blue tent. Ongoing investigations are in progress.
As reported by 8world News, the incident unfolded at Block 288E Bukit Batok Street 25.
Residents suggested that the individual may have fallen or jumped from the building around 7:30 pm.
Videos online depicted a blue police tent on a grassy area at the base of the block.
Providing a statement to 8world News, the police verified that they received a notification about an incident at the mentioned address around 8:10 pm.
They further stated that a 44-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene.
Initial inquiries suggest no signs of foul play.
A similar incident in Tampines HDB Block
On 16 December, a 57-year-old man was discovered deceased at the base of Block 281 Tampines Street 22.According to Stomp, a resident shared images of police officers on-site and a blue police tent being set up. Blood was visible near the body.
In response to a Stomp inquiry, the police stated they received a call for assistance at approximately 10:35 am.
A police spokesperson mentioned, “A 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Preliminary investigations do not indicate foul play, and police investigations are underway.
Previously, there have been two incidents involving the tragic discovery of a 34-year-old woman and her three-week-old infant found deceased at the base of a Housing Board block.
Another distressing case occurred on 5 Nov at Block 35, Eunos Crescent, where a woman and her young daughter fell from a significant height, landing on the ground floor.
