Man In Terengganu Pleads Guilty To Raping 11-Year-Old OKU Daughter

• A man in Terengganu was recently brought to trial for raping his own daughter

  • New Straits Times reported that on Sunday, 6 October, he pleaded guilty to three sex-related charges at the Sessions Court.
• The victim is his eldest daughter, an 11-year-old with a learning disability

  • According to Astro Awani, the man admitted to raping the minor around 11am on 20 September at a home in Marang.
  • The 41-year-old repeated the offence around 5am the next day on 21 September at the balcony of the house.
  • He also confessed to recording a pornographic video of his daughter on his mobile phone.
• The man was charged under Section 376B of the Penal Code for incest

  • The maximum penalty is a 30-year imprisonment and 10 counts of whipping.
  • He was also charged under Section 377B of the Penal Code for having carnal intercourse against the order of nature, in which he could be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in jail and caning.
  • For the video recording, he was charged under Section 5 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. It carries a maximum of 30 years in jail.
  • The trial will resume on Tuesday, 8 October.
