Sp....I was reading about the threat that Anonymous had made and was directed to this video. I thought nothing about it as Anonymous had said many things in the past which may have done a little damage but nothing came out of it.

Hackers Breach the Web Site of Stratfor Global Intelligence
By NICOLE PERLROTH
Published: December 25, 2011

While the rest of the world engaged in merriment and good cheer, hackers used the holidays to attack a United States research group that puts out a daily newsletter on security issues.

On Saturday, hackers who say they are members of the collective known as Anonymous claimed responsibility for crashing the Web site of the group, Stratfor Global Intelligence Service, and pilfering its client list, e-mails and credit card information in an operation they say is intended to steal $1 million for donations to charity. The hackers posted a list online that they say contains Stratfor’s confidential client list as well as credit card details, passwords and home addresses for some 4,000 Stratfor clients.

The hackers also said they had details for more than 90,000 credit card accounts. Among the organizations listed as Stratfor clients: Bank of America, the Defense Department, Doctors Without Borders, Lockheed Martin, Los Alamos National Laboratory and the United Nations.

The group also posted five receipts online that it said were of donations made with pilfered credit card details. One receipt showed a $180 donation from a United States Homeland Security employee, Edmund H. Tupay, to the American Red Cross. Another showed a $200 donation to the Red Cross from Allen Barr, a recently retired employee from the Texas Department of Banking. Neither responded to requests for comment.

Mr. Barr told The Associated Press that on Friday he discovered that $700 had been transferred from his account to charities including the Red Cross, Save the Children and CARE, but that he had not been aware that the transfer was tied to a breach of Stratfor’s site.

Stratfor executives did not return calls for comment on Sunday. In an e-mail to subscribers Sunday morning, Stratfor’s chief executive, George Friedman, confirmed that the company’s site had been hacked and said his company was working with law enforcement to track down the parties responsible.

“We have reason to believe that the names of our corporate subscribers have been posted on other Web sites,” Mr. Friedman wrote in the e-mail. “We are diligently investigating the extent to which subscriber information may have been obtained.”

The hackers took responsibility for the Stratfor attack on Twitter and said the attack would be the beginning of a weeklong holiday hacking spree. The breach was the latest in the online group’s ongoing campaign of computer attacks which, to date, has been aimed at MasterCard, Visa and PayPal as well as groups as diverse as the Church of Scientology, the Motion Picture Association of America and the Zetas, a Mexican crime syndicate.

The breach first surfaced on Saturday when hackers defaced Stratfor’s Web site with their own message. “Merry Lulzxmas!” the group wrote in a reference to Lulz Security, a hacking group loosely affiliated with Anonymous. “Are you ready for a week of mayhem?” By Sunday afternoon, the message had been replaced with a banner message that said: “Site is currently undergoing maintenance. Please check back soon.”

According to the hackers’ online postings, the group voted on what charities to contribute to. Among their choices were cancer and AIDS research, the American Red Cross, WikiLeaks and the Tor Project, a software that enables online anonymity.

Also according to their postings, the breach appears to have been conducted in retaliation for the arrest and imprisonment of Pfc. Bradley Manning, the Army intelligence analyst on trial on charges of leaking classified intelligence information and more than 250,000 diplomatic cables to WikiLeaks last year.

The attack was also likely intended to embarrass Stratfor, which specializes in intelligence and security. The hackers said they were able to obtain the credit card details because, they said, Stratfor had failed to encrypt them.

“The scary thing is that no matter what you do, every system has some level of vulnerability,” says Jerry Irvine, a member of the National Cyber Security Task Force. “The more you do from an advanced technical standpoint, the more common things go unnoticed. Getting into a system is really not that difficult.”

Perhaps this is a sign that more damaging activities will be conducted in 2012 by Anonymous against TPTB.

There is now another warning from Anonymous, I quote: "Anyone taking part in Operation Hiroshima will be gathering any and all documentation/information on anything and everything that we can access. Hax0rs will hack, d0xers will d0x and archive, phreaks will be tying up their lines of communication and social engineers will be exploiting the Human Operating System to gain their entry. Government, Political parties, corporations, law enforcement ... all fair game."

It Has Begun

Okay folks, the first shot has been fired! Here is the message from Anonymous.

#Op Hiroshima

Ladies and gentlemen of the great world wide web, it is our great pleasure to present to you for your
educational and viewing pleasure …. Operation Hiroshima.

The beginning of the New Year now begins officially. It is now, at this very moment people all across the nation and in other countries perhaps a matter of hours difference, are celebrating the turning of a new year and with it the hope for a new start whatever that may be.

However, a new start is not the same as a clean slate, now is it?
But in every situation there is ALWAYS a leveraging factor. Let the information dump commence.

We still run this.

We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We Do Not Forgive.
We Do Not Forget.
We’re Sure You Expected This.

Doesn't seem to be highly classified stuff.

Some of it looks like what normal IPS-style research content.

Sorry bro...this is what I could find. Just went to another site but the link was the same too. Maybe tonight as we are ahead by about 16 hours.:(

Any confirmation from Wikileaks that something like this is brewing?

I doubt Wikileaks is in anyway part of this movement. Anonymous is a different group and has been in existence for many years. I believe it is a very loose group with many sub-groups which are independent of each other and they do have rivalries. I think they work together when they have a consensus and agree to come together on a project.

Wikileaks could have information on how various governments could be reacting to this and therefore give indication on how serious the thread is.

I doubt so as it was Anon that supported Wikileaks but not the other way round. Anyway I have not seen any mention of Wikileaks so far and yes, I never bothered much about Wikileaks as their activities are reported in many sites and blogs.

Banker Nightmare... a Matter of Time

Another war front for Anonymous. 2012 is gonna be very exciting or scary depending on which side you are on.

Anonymous- Welcome to Year 2012

TRANSCRIPT: Attention free citizens of the world. Welcome to the year 2012. The people are becoming aware of their enslavement. People are awakening. The world is awakening and at a crucial time. It is time to make a choice between life and death, to wage peace or war, creation or destruction, unity or dissonance.

Think not in terms of nations, nothing must divide us as the human population. Remember that whatever disincentives our masters throw at us, they can not and will never be able to kill an idea. Just look towards the French Revolution of 1789. The striving of an entire nation towards the conquest of social equality, and the realization of abstract rights and ideal liberties, caused the tottering of all thrones and profoundly disturbed the Western world. The world had never seen such a scale of what may result from the promulgation of an idea. When by various processes an idea has ended by penetrating into the minds of the people, it possesses an irresistible power, and brings about a series of effects, opposition to which is bootless. It is the people united rather than isolated individuals that may be induced to run the risk of death to secure the triumph of a creed or an idea, that may be fired with enthusiasm for glory and honor.

Like a savage, it is not prepared to admit that anything can come between it's desire and the realization of said desire. The notion of impossibility disappears for the individual in a crowd backed by an idea. The individual is a grain of sand amid other grains of sand, which the wind stirs up at will. It is in such a way that history is made. So let us unite to free the world. To save that which is being destroyed. To wage peace and seek truth.

Some wake up early
Some wake up as the alarm sounds
Some wake up after the alarm sounds
Some sleep through the alarm
Some die in their sleep
Which will you be?

Anonymous exposes 75,000 credit card numbers

Anonymous exposes 75,000 credit card numbers

By Jolie O'Dell | VentureBeat.com, Published: December 31

Hacker collective Anonymous has just dumped 200 GB of names, email addresses and passwords for around 860,000 Stratfor users. Anonymous also exposed credit card numbers for 75,000 paying customers of Stratfor. Stratfor, a security think tank, provides reports on international security and related threats to government and military personnel as well as to the private sector.

It is unknown whether Anonymous gained access to other, more sensitive information during the Stratfor hacks, which occurred on December 24.

“The time for talk is over,” wrote Anonymous last night on Pastebin. “It’s time to dump the full 75,000 names, addresses, CCs and md5 hashed passwords to every customer that has ever paid Stratfor. But that’s not all: we’re also dumping ~860,000 usernames, email addresses, and md5 hashed passwords for everyone who’s ever registered on Stratfor’s site… Did you notice 50,000 of these email addresses are .mil and .gov?”

Anonymous’ motives for the attack are also somewhat hazy. In last night’s statement, representatives of the movement wrote, “All our lives we have been robbed blindly and brutalized by corrupted politicians, establishmentarians and government agencies sex shops, and now it’s time to take it back.” In addition to the Stratfor attack and exposure, Anonymous is threatening a new action on New Year’s Eve, December 31.

In addition to “noise demonstrations” outside of jails and prisons, ostensibly to show solidarity and support for the incarcerated, Anonymous says it will unveil “our contributions to project mayhem by attacking multiple law enforcement targets from coast to coast.”
Project Mayhem, a name nabbed from the book and film Fight Club, alludes the group’s desire to topple (or at least shake up) systems of capitalistic and political power by exposing certain types of information by or on December 12, 2012. Stratfor’s site has been offline since December 24, and the firm has delayed its website relaunch because of the hack.

Stratfor’s site has been offline since December 24, and the firm has delayed its website relaunch because of the hack.

“As part of our ongoing investigation, we have also decided to delay the launching of our website until a thorough review and adjustment by outside experts can be completed,” the company said in an email to VentureBeat earlier this week. For a detailed account of what happened during the Stratfor hack and what it means, see our 10-part FAQ on Anonymous and Stratfor.

Re: Anonymous' War Agiainst The Illuminati -Update

Here is one of Anon's targets:

Jeffrey L. Bewkes is the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Time Warner Inc. Time Warner is, incidentally, one of the foremost supporters of SOPA [http://judiciary.house.gov/issues/Rogue Websites/List of SOPA Supporters.pdf]. H.R. 3261, the bill know as the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) would ultimately give the government the ability to censor the Internet.
OpHiroshima was devised to gather any and all documentation and information on anything and everything that we can access. Government, political parties, corporations, law enforcement, you are all fair game [http://pastebin.com/4sYvuG1U].
Time Warner was singled out as one of the preeminent supporters and writers of the legislation known as SOPA. Time Warner lobbied Congress with a ludicrous $3,301,979 in 2011 alone [http://www.opensecrets.org/lobby/clientsum.php?id=D000000094&year=2011]. They targeted Senators and Congressmen who were pro-SOPA, giving them significant donations, including $63,438 to Al Franken, the largest contribution he received. As CEO of Time Warner, you know why it has come to this.
Jeffrey Bewkes, you make $20 million per year, yet your actions are that of a greedy man. You use your company’s influence and throw your money around to manipulate aspects of politics that should be well outside your reach. You threaten to shread everything that the Internet represents by lobbying Congress for its destruction. We will not tolerate this.

Sony Gets Hacked By Anonymous

Sony gets hacked by Anonymous

It should have expected this
Fri Jan 06 2012

HACKTIVIST GROUP Anonymous has lived up to his threat to attack Sony over its support for the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the US.
We reported earlier that the hackers had threatened Sony for its support for SOPA, and it has delivered.
The hack hit the Sony Pictures Facebook page and its web site homepage, according to reports and tweets from those involved. Comments were left on the web pages, but have since been removed.
The attacks carry the name Op Sony and were noted through the @s3rver_exe Twitter account. "#OpSony SonyPictures Hacked! by s3rver.exe , Anonnerd and N3m3515," says a tweet from that user, who continued, "I uploaded a @YouTube video (link removed) Sony Pictures Hacked By Anonymous."
That video and another have been removed from Youtube, but @s3rver_exe said that more would follow. Another account associated with Operation Censor This and both Anonymous and Team Poison under their P0isAnon guise acknowledged the hack.
At the end of December Anonymous warned Sony that its support for SOPA was its "death warrant".
"Your support to the act is a signed death warrant to SONY Company and Associates. Therefore, yet again, we have decided to destroy your network. We will dismantle your phantom from the internet," it said in a video that is still on Youtube.
It concluded, "Prepare to be extinguished. Justice will be swift, and it will be for the people, whether some like it or not. Sony, you have been warned." µ
