Angry netizens have set up a Facebook page demanding for the resignation of new PAP MP for Marine Parade GRC Tin Pei Ling for allegedly flouting the rules on ‘Cooling off’ day. A petition was also started calling for her disqualification
The PAP team for Marine Parade GRC has won the election by only 56.55 percent of the valid votes. It was helmed by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
Ms Tin allegedly posted a comment on her Facebook on ‘Cooling off’ day about her opponent Ms Nicole Seah. She later said it was posted wrongly by her administrator.
Ms Seah has lodged a complaint to the Election Department which has advised her to lodge a police report.

Since when petition works in sinkapore????

Sinkies pls wake up.....nothing will change the results.

Indeed. We have a critical mass of apathetic Sinkie sheep.

Newsflash : Netizens, angry or not, don't mean a thing when it comes to the PAP. They have gotten the mandate, rest of us can gtfo.

The crucial voters for this election were those who don't bother with facebook, much less petitions or forums like these.

Can petition as long or loud as we want but Tin Pei Ling will be enjoying her $14.5k monthly salary till the next election.

Not really, if the anti-TPL goes to few hundred thousands and it carries on from there, it may work and force a rethink of GRCs. Let us first cross the first 100K and see first.

Done properly, it might work. Remember NKF? I'd set up the petition if I knew how. For now, I need someone else to do it. I will surely sign it.
