遇劫男子姓陳(四十二歲),持雙程證來港。昨早上十一時許,陳把約六萬元人民幣放入背囊,到康樂路一間找換店兌換貨幣。由於該找換店對開,為往返元朗港鐵站與深圳灣口岸其中一個巴士站,故此有不少內地人光顧該找換店。

據了解,陳兌換約八萬四千港元後,便把全數現金放入背囊離開,期間遭兩名「一高一矮」的南亞賊盯上,隨即亦步亦趨尾隨。當陳步行至一百五十米外的青山道一間銀行對開,兩南亞賊從後強搶陳的背囊,事主不甘損失,死命抱緊背囊,大嗌「救命!」

兩休班警追截 一匪逃遁

兩賊見陳不肯就範,即揮拳朝其頭部狂扑,由於其中一人手戴一隻數吋粗金屬手鈪,在連番重擊下,陳慘被扑至頭破血流。現場消息指,當時在銀行外擺檔的兩名電訊公司員工及多名途人見狀,即時喝止及協助報警。兩賊事敗不敢久留,兵分兩路落荒而逃,其中身形較高的賊人,抄小徑往大棠路方向逃走,兩名電訊公司員工窮追,惜無功而回。

另一「矮賊」則往西菁街方向逃走,在距離現場一百米外鈞德樓對開,適時一名隸屬新界北總區機動部隊的姓謝休班警長,以及一名元朗警區巡邏小隊的姓陳休班警員途經,聞訊協力追截,終將其中一名疑犯按地制服。

姓陳事主幸保不失,但血流披面,清醒在銀行待援,救護員替他包紮後,與其中一名傷腳的休班警員,一併由救護車送院治理。警方封鎖現場,根據事主及目擊者描述,在附近兜截惜無發現,銀行外遺下一頂相信屬於賊人的鴨舌帽。
