With the over crowding that is more common in Spore it will prevent future cases of commuters being pushed onto the tracks Or as SMRT claims "fainting"

techically speaking with barriers, it is impossible to jump tracks..unless you chose to vault over like a low wall during SOC.
I recall only screen doors in certain Paris metro stations. The underground stations in London & Paris have no screen doors n their windows can be opened...meaning greater risks of falling out of windows...

Previously Angmo station was already hot in the afternoon because the hill & buildings block the flow of air. With the barriers airflow is cut off completely & is stuffy. Just imagine how much worse it will be when it is very crowded
It's all about poor planning & implementation & not about complaining for complaints sake. I doubt the original planners could have predicted the millions that would burden our infrastructure
