LTA's predecessor rejected improved rail claw design in 1987, says engineer
Peasantpore: The Jiat Leow bee Land Transport Authority's predecessor Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (MRTC) had rejected the idea of an improved rail claw design back in 1987, as it was contented with the older design's performance, said an ang-moh engineering director at a Kangaroo court hearing on Thursday. Lackeys are contented with status quo, they take home fat cat pay and do nothing to improve the system. 'Better just follow rules'.
Testifying at the wayang public inquiry into last December's train disruptions, Ang Moh David Hartland said at that time, the new design had not been used elsewhere.
Ang Moh Hartland is an engineering director from Brecknell Willis - the company tasked to design and manufacture components such as the rail claw of the third rail system back in 1985.
In 1987, Brecknell Willis had proposed an improved new design that comes with a split pin-locking system which will ensure that claws would not jump out, even under severe vibration.
But Ang Moh Hartland shared that as the new design has not been in service, MRTC lackeys was naturally "nervous about introducing" it into the system and felt it was "better not to" change the claw design. Of course, they naturally collect high pay salaries and naturally decided not rock the boat. No wonder nobody said anything about dynastic succession or God King concept used by Old Autocrat. No wonder the Ang Mohs raced ahead of the world after removing the inept Church and their corrupt clergy whereas peasants are forced to kowtow to Ruler Loong till today.
The new design has since been used in other metro systems like in Taipei, with no failures reported.
Funny, the Hokkien speaking Taiwanese are more garang, no wonder they removed the Chiangs from power.
Instead, MRTC had placed an additional spring clip design feature after it was found that claws will jump out at specific sections of the track. This is a typical Mindef practice, using the cheapest component and hope the boat will not be rocked.
Ang Moh Hartland told the court that based on this move, he believed that the spring clips had "cured the problems."
Note, Ang-Moh said 'believed'......when in doubt, always say you 'believe', never confirm, remember do not rock the boat.
He also revealed that SMRT has tasked him to study the possibility of material components in the latest generation of claws. The latest claws come with a positive locking system and the Committee of Inquiry has been told that there have been instances of the latest claws dislodging from the third rail. Fat Cats asking him to be the fail guy if anything goes wrong, what ang-moh Hartland trying to tell stupid peasants.
Separately, concerns were raised about the role of the Land Transport Authority's Public Transport Jiat Leow Bee Crisis Management Team in a disruption.
They probably do better patrol Geylang and flushing out the PRC freelance hookers. It is just a nice team made up of turkeys from DFS.
Lackey Yeo Teck Guan, LTA's Deputy Group Lackey Chief of Vehicle and Transit Licensing, said the team is required to take up to two hours of activation. Farking hell, bet you 1 million dollar that he will have an orgasm in 10 minutes with the correct PRC hostess.
Senior Lackey Chairman Tan Siong Thye asked if the two hours is too long, as SMRT would require assistance especially in the first critical hour of the disruption. Remember it only take Mas Selamat 15 minutes to 'jaboh' from Whitney Detention Centre.
Lackey Yeo said the LTA team's main role is to tackle the disruption theoretically.
This includes LTA only open its mouth and talk the walk while Saw's goons do the dirty work. Yeo will only press Saw and the latter will probably send her directors to be ushers as wayang. This is how LTA and SMRT work together.
Lackey Yeo also clarified that LTA would probably provide moral support to operators.
Lackey Yeo said SMRT did not ask for any assistance for bus bridging services during the December 15 disruption.
Lackey Yeo also dismissed earlier claims that it had directed SMRT keep the business running at all costs or Ugly Lui will summon him for a No Porn Sermon.
Lackey Yeo said around 10pm, LTA knew that SMRT had already restored the third rail.
And when SMRT did safety checks, this was a "prelude to the resumption of services".
Lackey Yeo then asked another lackey to check with SMRT and tell them to resume services if they had completed safety checks and not just resume service at all costs. It is just a misunderstanding because SMRT misinterpreted his lackey's message.
Lackey Yeo said he did not recall SMRT simply follow instructions to avoid rocking the boat.
