Men in the street offering to give up their $600, including a woman who said she was not rich but did not need the money. Yet.
The Hongkee CEO of OCBC who donated $650,000 and refusing to claim the 2.5x tax deduction.

And where are the Foreign billionaires so warmly and proudly welcomed by the PAP?
Where are the property developers whose listed companies and themselves are worth billions and
whine everytime regulations are put in place to mitigate housing prices? Even today, they are
bitching about easing the minimal regulations in place.

Where are the ministers who should be the first to raise their hands and donate part of the salaries
to their respective constituencies? And the rest of the MPs on both sides of the fence. For goodness
sake, being an MP has always been a fcuking PARTIME job for most of them. Looking at the empty
seats during parliamentary "debates", reading off prepared speeches, have always made me feel sick.

Where are the CEOs and Chairmen of the GLCs, and directors? Where are the top civil servants?

Sadly, the Man in The Street are the people of the moment in Singapore today. NOT those who claim
to be captains of industry.

In the past, you read in the papers donations made in total anonymity.

Its not Singsporeans got backbone, its cos 70% minions are 'kum lam'

The rich are the only ones that pay huge amounts of income tax in Singapore so they have already done more than their fair share.

Millionaires like myself have been helping people far longer than you have been breathing. We provide employment to lots of people, which in turn enables them to feed their families on a daily basis. Employees are the ones who should do more for society beyond giving of their spare change or only 10% tithe.

Our useless million dollar salaried ministers should forfeit their entire annual salaries and contribute these to the fund. This would show their sincere remorse from bungling the management of the crisis resulting in putting the ordinary people and businesses on the brink of total devastation. Never in the history of Singapore had so much damage been done by so few to so many by virtue of their incompetence. Hope this would shut fucking GCT up - million dollar ministers have no better than peanuts-paid monkeys.

If you are in the healthcare industry you will know these people have donated somewhat...not a lot of useful stuff but it's the thought that counts...and some have donated thousands of masks and handrub

even if millionaires and billionaires do give monies ,it would be a business decision..for media exposure or tax purpose ....its not like a bleeding heart sort of thingy ...but ang mor are a different breed who leaves their enntire wealth back to the society ...chinese are never like that

Where is Ho Jinx?

Throw some shit sanitizers via the company’s monies and expect us to kiss the ground she treads on? Fucking hell, she will read this and throw a massive fit and preach to us about being entitled.

That is incorrect because the personal income tax rates in Singspore, are very low.

Since many things are at standstill; we expect MPs n Ministers salaries NOT be(standstill)
as well but a 60% reduction seems appropriate and forthcoming.

Singapore millionaires do not help and many of them are quietly receiving 600 dollars from government which they do not need

Just like wedding guests who put small amounts in ang pows are wedding without putting their names.
THAT is what these rich are doing. They are trying to avoid a perceived "bidding" war to see who can outdo
each other.

There is nothing wrong for the property developers group (for example) to say that each of them are contributing
$xxx hundred thousand per person. NOT per company - this will be at expense of the lowly shareholders.
