Anyway Rand's conclusions make no sense on a prima facie level. If it were really that simple and straightforward leading to a Chinese defeat, the US military and Taiwanese independence movement would have got it done decades ago. They don't need a think tank to tell them something so "obvious".

This sort of senseless proclamation reminds me of the random "Death to the Americans!" slogans uttered by the North Korean and Iranian media. This is symptomatic weakness, not strength.
