As a thinking person, I can tell you straight in the face that Amos' father is not going to murder him. Neither is his mother going to divorce his father. The mother is fully aware of the video. If Amos is under bad influence, his parents should be very angry and disgusted. But Amos' mother has been extremely pally with the influencers.

Amos Yee received legal advice. Amos' position is no different from Melvin Teo's, who claimed his hacking of the Istana website was influenced by others.

Back to autism, hypocrisy, wisdom and animal. Autistic people are born with zero level of hypocrisy which is why they don't follow social norm. They show what they like and dislike without hypocrisy. Mental problems can be in many forms - post-natal depression, kleptomania, depression from retrenchment/death of a loved one, autism etc. The accused can get a diagnosis sitting in the comfort of a chair/couch in a posh private clinic or even IMH.

You bet your last dollar it was Teo Soh Lung who advised Amos' mother. But she is a non-practicing lawyer. Dodwell, a colleague of Leon Perera, took up the case pro bono. That's when Amos broke the terms of the bail after hearing his trial might take up to 8 months. He didn't want to report to the Bedok Police station every morning. Amos Yee is saner than all the people here.

Very clear that he formed his own ideas after talking to SDP members and reading Roy's blog posts and then made the video on his own.

Autism is a wide spectrum condition. What you have associated autism with are those people who have the most pronounced form of autism. Autism is not madness, it isn't stupidity neither does it make one unable to understand and has his own view. The only difference is they are not hypocate and will not twist and turn or pretend to agree. In fact, most of these autistic people are very good and clear in their analysis because their minds are not crowded by emotional baggage or so called moral value. Fully agreed. Amos is special. In the course of my work, I always take feedback from autistic people very seriously especially those who are high functioning. They only speak their view without dressing to please so their words will hurt my ego. However, with their good analytical skill and sincerity, they are mostly right. The sad part is sometimes, wicked people do instigate them to speak the truth that they themselves dare not voice out and got them into trouble. It happened in the office. If the boss is good and understanding, his view will be taken seriously. However, most of the times, the ego of the boss overruled his logical mind and the poor guy took the wreath.

To be honest, I don't really care what you think, if your view is confined to a single person. My clarification is more for other readers if they happen to have a wrong view of what autism is.

I am still puzzled how being autistic can bring down Amos. Nobody ever doubted Eistein's theories although he is autistic. Being autistic would only help to show that Amos is just saying what he believes in without hidden agenda. As for the slapper, there is no info on him so it is not right to make any guess. However, from the fact that he ran away after slapping, it is not a typical action of an autistic individual. Autistic usually standby their action and will not hide.
