[h=1]09.12.2012 - Serangoon Division Christmas Ration Distribution[/h]Updated <abbr title="Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 12:39am" data-utime="1355157547" class="timestamp">20 hours ago</abbr> · Taken at Serangoon Ave 4 Blk 213

As part of Serangoon Division Christmas celebration, rations such as rice, noodles, canned food and biscuits were distributed to lower income families and senior citizens in the Serangoon Division. This is to help to spread the joy and sharing of the Christmas season. Residents, young and old also chipped in their effort to repack the 10kg rice bags into smaller bags, as well as to pack the rations into plastic bags. It was certainly like a good old-days kampong spirit.

24 to 25.11.2012 - 2D1N Malacca Trip (Eunos)

<abbr title="Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 12:02pm" data-utime="1354420939" class="timestamp"></abbr>Rise and shine! Residents of Eunos woke up as early as 4am in the morning for the much anticipated 2D1N Malacca trip. The day started with much laughter on the bus as we made our way to Tuas Checkpoint.

Nonya food, Jonker street and a tour around the row of houses made from red bricks are some of the must-do in Malacca. Apart from experiencing the hustling and bustling of Jonker street at night, residents went back to the place again in the morning where they had the opportunity to taste one of the best char siew bun in Malacca.

We were also able to better appreciate the historic architecture along Jonker street in the day. Residents were fascinated by the rich history of Malacca and its architecture. Tour guide, Ah Liu, did an awesome job in explaining and showing these to us patiently.

No trip to Malacca is complete without embarking onto a river cruise to experience the serenity of Malacca at night.

It's great to see residents looking satisfied with their purchases, happy with their experiences and cordial with the company. With the cooperation from the residents the trip was well executed! Thank you everyone!

[h=1]16.12.2012 - Christmas Carnival @ Eunos 2012[/h]<abbr title="Monday, December 17, 2012 at 5:35am" data-utime="1355693731" class="timestamp"></abbr>

Tis’ the season to be jolly! Residents of Eunos enjoyed a touch of Christmas Magic this morning, as we celebrated Christmas with the “Christmas Magic” Carnival at Blk 122 Bedok Reservoir Road.

Young and old alike came down in the morning and afternoon to enjoy the many activities at the mini carnival. One could try one’s hand at the games stalls and the games hosted by our emcee – (including the ever-popular musical chairs), or get decorated with Christmas symbols at the face and hand painting station. Everyone also enjoyed the delightful and delicious snacks and sweets, such as the candy floss, popcorn, malt candy and potong ice cream.

We were also entertained by the various stage performances. Our Eunos volunteers and a youth cell group sang the familiar Christmas favourites. They were joined by Member of Parliament for Aljunied GRC, Mr Pritam Singh, for a lively rendition of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. We were also thrilled by an exciting Diabolo (Chinese Yo-yo) performance.

Perhaps the highlight of the day was the debut magic performance put up by NCMP Yee Jenn Jong and his daughter Faith, who wowed the crowd with their amazing illusions. Whoever knew that Jenn Jong had the ability to make handkerchiefs disappear?

Finally, Santa Claus too came by our carnival to give out Christmas cookies and to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
