Anyway, SingPost doesn't really care about delivering snail mail nowadays. Remittance services is where it is focusing on. Nothing like cashing in on the boom in foreigner population.

they mentioned some kind of ecommerce collaboration, alibaba has a retail platform aliexpress. Will aliexpress penetrate deeper into our local retail scene?

Anyway, SingPost doesn't really care about delivering snail mail nowadays. Remittance services is where it is focusing on. Nothing like cashing in on the boom in foreigner population.

Tough competition for remittance with the super efficient chinatown/city plaza/western union remittance services. Their courier rates are also not competitive, against many large courier companies (for large orders).

At least, there isn't much competition for local snail mail + overheads are relatively fixed, at least if they hike the local address postage to push up business margins.
