Which is why sedition act should simply be abolished and replaced with a hate speech law if Singapore want to guard against racism. Sedition act was created by the British to stifle opposition to British rule.

I can understand where Alex is coming from because when I was living in Singapore, I hated the tight control and arbitrary arrest powers.

However after having lived in OZ and NZ for a couple of decades, I too wish for the ISA to be implemented here.

Far too many crooks, gangsters and trouble makers get away with their crimes because of holes in the law and weaknesses in the legal system.
