It’s time for the pilots pay to be cut to bus captains pay. After all the pilots have it easier using autopilot to fly and when shit happens like 737 max the pilot makes no difference.

Airline collect money in advance. They can offer discount on tickets sold maybe 6 months to 1 year up front. That is easy financing. The seats they sell will be empty seats anyway based on say 80% average load.

Now no one will book for summer leisure travel starting in just two months. Instead those booked earlier will be canceling their tickets and asking for refunds. Airlines will bankrupt from paying salaries, dividends (if any) and refunds of money for spring summer and autumn ticket sales in advance.
