this is evaporative cooling, yes it does cool by passing air through waterfall exchanging heat to the water but will only do so much for so little. a more effective way is the aircon water bed where water is conditioned to low temp and travel through the bed to deliver, spot cooling, more direct and effective for bedrooms.

yes, in a way it acts as a humidifier. very shiok for me when air becomes very dry in summer. not so shiok in sg.
